AFFILIATE PROGRAM TERMS & CONDITIONS

This agreement does not constitute an employment relationship between you and A Story About You. You are working independently and non-exclusively and are in no way an employee of A Story About You. You are responsible for any taxes you may incur on your referral fee payments. We will report any such earnings to the IRS as we are legally obligated to do which is why we need your social security number or tax id number.

We will pay you a referral fee equal to 10% of the total net sale (excluding tax, shipping and discounts) for each order that we receive containing your unique source code. The purchaser entering your code on our website will receive 10% off of his/her order.

Without exception, any orders received without this source code will not generate any referral payments. Referrals will not be paid retroactively. Products that are listed on our website but link to another website not owned by us do not qualify to earn referrals (for example, personalized music tapes, “My Name in Lights” and “My Very Own Name” personalized books, costumes and party supplies.) Only products with item codes beginning with P, K, J, C, B or L will be paid a referral fee.

By the 20th of every month, A Story About You will pay you for all referrals earned in the previous month provided the amount is at least $25.00. Referrals will be carried over each month until the $25.00 minimum is met. Cancellation of this agreement before the $25.00 minimum is met will result in forfeiture of all referrals accumulated. Source codes inactive for 12 months will be deactivated and all unpaid referrals will be lost.

All of our licensed character books (any book with a copyright other than © Best) have strict marketing restrictions. You are authorized to use the marketing materials we provide, however any other materials you may wish to use must be approved by us in writing prior to their usage. This includes any text ads or other language on the Internet or any other advertising. You are authorized to use our company name, A Story About You, and our website address, www.AStoryAboutYou.com, in your marketing efforts.

Under no circumstances are you authorized to send unsolicited email (commonly referred to as SPAM.) Marketing via email is only allowed if you have permission from the recipient to send the email. We will not tolerate any incidence of SPAM and if you are found to be in violation of this agreement for any reason, our relationship will end and you will forfeit any unpaid referral fee payments.

This agreement will remain in effect until cancelled for any reason by either party.
